INTRODUCTION
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique that’s useful in many emergencies, such as a heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Emergency treatment is temporary treatment given before the arrival of medical help. This program is very necessary to be held as it relates to a topic in the subject of Children’s Health and Safety, Emergency Response, Planning and Health & Social Care Provision. In short, this program is held to increase students’ knowledge about CPR and emergency treatment which, nowadays, is relatively less applied among students.
MAIN OBJECTIVE
- To cover the syllabus of Children’s Health, Nutrition & Safety (ECE4213), Health & Social Care Provision (DHM2123), and Emergency Response & Planning (OSH4293).
- To provide knowledge about first aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) emergency treatment to the Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Occupational Safety and Health and Healthcare Management students.
- To expose the students to perform basic life support skills to apply an emergency situation before the arrival of medical assistance.
