This programme offered through collaboration between UNIKOP College and Abertay University, is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in cybersecurity. This programme prepares students to effectively design, manage, and implement cybersecurity strategies and technologies to protect digital assets and mitigate cyber threats. This programme will empower the students with the ability to meet the demands of the job market in the field of computer security. Graduates of cyber security specialists are capable of accommodating their organisations to secure computer and network resources.
- Graduates will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles,
concepts, and technologies, enabling them to effectively analyze cybersecurity threats and
vulnerabilities. - Graduates will be provided with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing
cybersecurity solutions, policies, and practices that address real-world security challenges in
diverse organizational contexts. - Graduates possess the skills and certifications necessary for entry-level positions in cybersecurity
roles such as cybersecurity analyst, incident responder, network security specialist, and ethical
hacker.
Malaysian Students:
1. A pass in STPM/A-Level with minimum Grade C (Grade Point 2.00 / pass) in 2 subjects; OR
2. A pass in Diploma in related field (Level 4 MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00 (A student who has graduated from non-computing field diploma is eligible upon confirmation and verification of qualification); OR
3. A pass in Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA 2.00; OR
4. A pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with at least PNKG 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval
5. Other equivalent qualifications recognize by the Malaysian Government.
International Students:
1. Achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (High B1). If a student does not meet this requirement, the HEP must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
