This programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in computing. This programme equips students with advanced knowledge and practical skills across various computing domains, preparing them for diverse career opportunities in the technology industry. This programme also focuses on providing specialist options that meet the needs of the significant functions in computer science and allow specialization with career progression and professional recognition in mind.
- Graduates possess a solid understanding of fundamental concepts, theories, and principles in
computer science, preparing them for advanced study or entry-level positions in the field. - Graduates foster practical skills in programming, software development, database management,
and other technical areas essential for computer science professionals. - Graduates can analyze problems, design algorithms, and develop innovative solutions using
computational thinking and logical reasoning.
Malaysian Students:
1. A pass in STPM/A-Level with minimum Grade C (Grade Point 2.00 / pass) in 2 subjects; OR
2. A pass in Diploma in related field (Level 4 MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00 (A student who has graduated from non-computing field diploma is eligible upon confirmation and verification of qualification); OR
3. A pass in Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA 2.00; OR
4. A pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with at least PNKG 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval
5. Other equivalent qualifications recognize by the Malaysian Government.
International Students:
1. Achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (High B1). If a student does not meet this requirement, the HEP must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
