This program thoroughly understands human behavior and mental processes, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills. This degree prepares students for diverse career paths in psychology-related fields, including clinical, counseling, industrial organizational, educational, and forensic psychology, as well as research and human resources.
- Graduates can develop individual professions within the psychology world where students work or intend to seek employment.
- Graduates can apply therapeutic techniques and interventions in various psychological settings.
- Graduates will be able to apply knowledge of psychopathology to support individuals with mental health challenges.
Malaysian Students:
1. A pass in STPM/A-Level with minimum Grade C (Grade Point 2.00 / pass) in 2 subjects; OR
2. A pass in Diploma in related field (Level 4 MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00 (A student who has graduated from non-computing field diploma is eligible upon confirmation and verification of qualification); OR
3. A pass in Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA 2.00; OR
4. A pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with at least PNKG 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval
5. Other equivalent qualifications recognize by the Malaysian Government.
International Students:
1. Achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (High B1). If a student does not meet this requirement, the HEP must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
