This bachelor degree programme ensures that students have the appropriate knowledge and skills to perform their jobs effectively by gaining relevant competencies for various roles in their criminological field. Students pursuing this programme will comprehensively understand criminological theories, investigative methods, legal frameworks, and ethical considerations. The students can improve their capabilities via the critical themes of expert knowledge, global reach and focus as well as through collaboration and innovation.
- Graduates will be equipped with a range of skills including analytical with critical thinking, research skills and a strong understanding of legal / ethical principles.
- Graduates will be equipped with excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well as technical skills in the use of modern policing tools and techniques.
- Graduates will be equipped with a deep understanding of social issues and policy analysis, preparing them for careers in law enforcement, criminal justice and related fields.
Malaysian Students:
1. A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C (Grade Point 2.00/ pass) in any two subjects; OR
2. A pass in Diploma in a related field (Level 4 MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;
OR
3. A pass in Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA 2.00; OR
4. A pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with at least PNKG 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval
5. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
International Students:
1. Achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (High B1). If a student does not meet this requirement, the HEP must offer English
proficiency courses to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
